My Philosophy
There are countless times in our lives when we are not allowed to speak up for ourselves. We may be told to stay in a child's place, that our opinion doesn't matter, or silenced through abuse. Our voice is one of the most magical things we have because it helps us advocate for our needs, our dreams, and our desires. Susurrus Counseling was a dream of a little girl to help other individuals heal by finding the courage to break through the silence, be it through a whisper. A whisper from the heart.
About Me
Erika Martinez is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 2015. She graduated with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. Erika treats clients with respect, dignity, and genuineness. She sees her clients as unique individuals with personal stories, strengths, and challenges. Erika doesn't utilize a one-size-fits-all approach but uses skills and modalities that are appropriate based on who you are and the goals you have for treatment.

In her spare time, Erika enjoys going to a concert, or musical. She enjoys doing cultural activities and learning new things. Her favorite hobby would be sleeping and doing some self-care be it taking a nap or getting a facial. Erika is an aunt and loves spending time with her nieces and nephews.
